KLCC and KL Tower enchanting Kuala Lumpur's skyline

Intrigued by Kuala Lumpur Malaysia? Looking for famous Kuala Lumpur landmarks and tourist attractions? You have come to the right place. Stay and find out more about this sprawling metropolis.

Kuala Lumpur city means ‘muddy conclave’ in Malay. The city is the economic pulse of and capital of Malaysia. Locals fondly refer to it as just ‘KL’. Every year, many will flock to KL in search of greener pasture. I was one of them. Together with adjacent townships in Selangor and Putrajaya, Greater Kuala Lumpur is more commonly known as “Klang Valley”

Like many tourists, you will arrive in Malaysia through Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Upon landing, you will be captivated by the elegant steel and glass architecture of KLIA. Don’t miss the ‘rainforests’ display as you walk pass the glass panels.

Budget air travellers will land at Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT). The ‘fit for purpose’ terminal is located about 20 km away from KLIA.

Your perception of KL will soon change once you reach city proper. It will suddenly dawn on you that KL is a thriving commercial hub. Amongst the many skyscrapers you will discover many prominent “Kuala Lumpur landmarks”. Standing tall amongst them is the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC). It is currently the tallest twin towers in the world. You will also unlikely to miss the stunning Kuala Lumpur Tower.

During rush hour, you might be caught in traffic a bit longer. Relax. It’s a chance to experience the Malaysian city life. That said, if you travel in Kuala Lumpur, renting a car is unnecessary. Public transportation is well connected and convenient within city confines.

As dusk falls, KL transforms into a vibrant city full of dazzling nightlife. Don’t miss the charming side of KLCC as it beams gracefully in the foreground.
